This action puzzle game challenges you to divert water to a destination using a limited supply of barriers. At a mere 7 megabytes, you'll be having fun in no time with the quick download. Thanks to the fine crew at Vultrix for allowing us to distribute Overflow!

SimWorld V5 - Private Testing Begins NOW!

I'm now ready to open up SimWorld V5 testing to a small group of individuals. V5 isn't ready for public download yet, but is far along enough to be playable and to get feedback from players.

What's new in V5?

New player model & animations. The model is in, fully rigged, and around half the animations are done and in-game. Remaining to be done for V5 are the other animations and texturing of the model.

The build system has been fully revamped to be easier and faster to build with. There's only one key to proceed through the build process [b], and the remaining key buttons are hotkeyed for quick access. Best of all, you can duplicate pieces quickly with the G key and build things really quick.

Built items can be repaired by pressing R. Repair costs money proportional to the amount of repair.

New map - HTCentral! (Yes, it's based off the classic map for HT-Mod!). Still a lot of work to do here to get this polished up for public release, but it's in and playable now.

Static Mesh support - mappers can define points for static mesh objects to be placed in their interiors and running a command in the mission editor they are automatically propogated. End result should be better visuals once we make good use of this tech (and have art to use with it!). :)

Multiple build types! Now you can make things not only out of cement, but also wood and titanium! Prices and durability scale appropriately.

Lots of little sound effects added for a more polished feel (some of these are recorded by our very own Dazed!)

Most of the stock art included with the engine has been ripped out. This is a big step towards moving to the correct visual target for SW. This is being replaced by some of Combine's art.

Players must now stay within an area defined by the mapper - previously players could go way, way outside reasonable gameplay space and get lost.

Uses compressed resource formats for a much faster download (now only 40megs, and since there's only eight files to download, it downloads quick off Archive Games).

Command line flags added for quick iteration for mappers

Lots of misc. bug fixes

Linux: It compiles and runs fine. Hope to have a version up on AG if any interested Linux testers want in :)

Rocket jumps!

Now, if you're interested in joining this private test, post a note here. I will need to add your username to the list of users allowed to download SWv5 via Archive Games. Priority will be given to donators and contributors to SW, but I think there is enough space for anyone active in the community right now -- especially anyone who wants to help SimWorld improve, whether that's by making maps or by bringing in new players :)

Take Down Online is a combat oriented FPS still early in development, but frequently updated by the developer. It is MMO-like in the sense that the game focuses on a single-server where players congregate that supports many players.

While it's still early in development, this game shows a lot of promise! Already it has command point based gameplay, classes, vehicles (helicopters & humvees), and other features being added by the developer! Check it out now on Archive Games!
